Our Mission Is Simple: Make Finding Safe Spaces for the LBGTQ+ Community Easier
Queer Review is your resource to rate and review spaces according to their treatment of the LGBTQ+ community. The first and only per-location rating system for safe space, we take an intersectional approach to reviewing business and places.
Intersectionality recognizes that oppressions are not isolated; therefore, we recognize that a safe space for a white cis-gender gay man may not be a safe space for a trans man of color.
With the help from the community and our allies, Queer Review seeks to support individuals and our community through peer-reviewed research.

Do you know of a Safe Space? Get started in just minutes.
What is a Safe Space?
A Safe Space is a place where anyone can relax and be able to fully express themselves, without fear of being made to feel uncomfortable, unwelcome, or unsafe on account of biological sex, race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, cultural background, religious affiliation, age, or physical or mental ability. It is a place where the rules guard each person’s self-respect and dignity and strongly encourage everyone to respect others.
Queer Review is not only a resource to help you find safe spaces in your area—we also want Queer Review to be a safe space itself.
As a Safe Space, Queer Review will not tolerate:
- Cultural Appropriation
- Cissexism/ Cissupremecy
- Ace erasure
- Bi erasure/ Monosexism
- Sexism / Misogyny
- Mental illness- shaming
- Multiplicity Hate
How is information sourced?
Our information is derived largely from submissions and from personal research. We endeavor to find information as accurately as possible, though we cannot guarantee a 100% accuracy of our information, because humans are just that: humans.
If you have any complaints, doubts, or conflicting information about a place, we would be happy to listen and deal with the matter as needed but in most cases we suggest that you just post your review.
In short, this site is for any identity, orientation, thoughts, beliefs and/or people, as long as that identity, orientation, thought, belief, or person does not oppress another.
